Along with the London 2012 logo, the pictograms for 2012 are causing quite a stir. Most Olympic pictogram sets may never match Otl Archer’s Munich Games set, or even Mexico City, but I think when brought to life, this set is as good as LA 1984.

London 2012 dynamic pictogram set is to be “…used both as decoration and where a more exciting version is called for, such as on posters or banners.” Supposedly, these were “inspired by the London Underground map.” – Creative Review
I get what they’re going for with the connection to the London Underground, but 1. I think it might be a bit too obvious and 2. I’m not crazy about the variation in line weight. What say you?
