Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

I find the talk about Japan and the Art of Subway Notifications Hyperquake Blog all a bit meaningless. Governments and central banks round the world have done everything they can to prop up failed financial institutions, and lending that was imprudent from the start. We will not have a real self sustaining recovery without an end to deficit spending and lots of lending institutions going bust. I find discussion about mortgage finance and loans a bit meaningless. I also think the home costs have to fall a lot even now. I mean why would you want to own a home in Spain or the UK? Isn’t it much cheaper to rent? Regards, Toby Cuzco
